Mentoring with Clytee Mills
I am dedicated to reducing the unnecessary suffering and improving the quality of life of people going through the inevitable transitions and challenges of life, especially related to aging.
I do this through mentoring, which I define as guiding people to their own wisdom and innate health as they learn about principles that determine their human experience. My format is educational. The learning and change take place through insights.
Many years ago on a rocky beach on Salt Spring Island, I heard a man, Sydney Banks, talk from a place of spiritual perspective and profound insight. Afterwards, I was unable to remember a word he said, yet I experienced a feeling of having found my way home … inside to a space beyond words. I felt filled with acceptance of what is, with no need to continue searching. This experience is what I call grace. I did not earn it, I did not deserve it, I did not fully understand it, yet it totally changed the direction of my life.
Many years passed while I partnered with my late husband, Roger Mills, in bringing what came to be known as the "Three Principles" of Mind, Thought and Consciousness to communities across the globe. This was not always a smooth or easy journey, but knowing where my experience was coming from -- inside-out -- helped me navigate life with more perspective. When I took care of my husband during the last years of his life, I fully discovered the blessing of grace. I found deep reserves of resilience, solace and ease that I never would have imagined possible. I now feel a strong desire to share how the Three Principles and Mr. Banks' teachings have helped me and many others. There is so much needless suffering in this world. It is possible to experience love, peace, compassion and understanding even during challenging times.
I bring a unique blend of experiences that enhance my ability to help people:
The Three Principles of Mind, Thought and Consciousness as applied to psychology is an educational and spiritually-based paradigm, where inner change is based on insights. As a mentor, I point people inside to an understanding of human psychological functioning and innate health rather than focusing on outside circumstances.
